Learnin bout my camera

Well, I know that this probably isn't all that exciting, but I'll get on posting some pics with actual people in them soon. I took a short class last week. It was kind of a waste because it was REALLY basic (and that's bad coming from me!) but it did tell me a few things I was wondering about. So I took some pictures in LP's backyard while I was in San Francisco this past weekend and here's what I learned!

This last one is my favorite! He has a lemon tree and a lime tree in his backyard so I'm pumped to perfect my lemonade skills this summer while I'm there! When I'm relaxing this weekend I'll write a better post but I am liking my new camera! Now, I just need a better lens......

Job? Who needs a job?

I have a possible interview. Although, not holding my breath since the last "interview" turned into them never calling me for some reason. We will see, friends, we will see......

Super Psyched!

I haven't seen LP in over a month, but I'm heading to SF Thursday for his b-day! Hooray for seeing him and his old man self. It feels like it's been ages. Some other tidbits......
*went to the best party ever (thank you, Beth). It was a "Buddha Birthday" party thrown by an awesome girl. She was super cool- she had a guitar filled with MaiTai. She had also rented a smo mat and 2 sumo wrestler outfits for people to sumo wrestle. One of the most gut-busting things you will ever see is 2 people going at it in a sumo outfit.
*yesterday, K and I went to Pecan Street Festival (my 2nd time in one weekend. Maybe a little overboard?). Anyway, we had so much fun! We were just gonna go and sit somewhere and have A beer. Yeah, right! We ended up chilling at the Blind Pig over the course of several hours, talking and watching people. The weather was great and the people were hilarious. Side note: we both decided we have never been to the Blind Pig at night. We only make it there during the day. Weird.....
*I go to my first camera class Wednesday. Wish me luck! I need to get good at it so I can quit my job and be a fabulous Pulitzer Prize winning photographer.

Pecan Street Festival

This weekend I did not have much planned, so Saturday afternoon Mom and I headed to Pecan Street Festival.

These guys were playing a fruit box and dancing. The recession has hit us all. And this guy was the worst fiddle player ever.

Meat Pies. Yum.

They made art out of old babies. Frightening, yet I couldn't look away.

Puppets. Always.

Meet Brillo. He loves skating, hearts, and you.
