Blahhhhhgggggg: lovely

this week flew by!! i almost can't believe how fast it went. especially since i was wishing it would go fast! i told my boss on friday that i am going to stop working on fridays starting in june. i've decided to take up a few hobbies starting this summer and i am so thankful that my job allows me to have the freedom to make my own schedule. lp didn't work on friday and i only work in the morning, so it was almost like a 3 day weekend for us. again, cannot express how lucky we are to have jobs that allow us the freedom to have lots of time off. anyway, on thursday evening we got to see some old friends. on friday (after work-blah!!) i cleaned and ran errands, while lp made enchiladas. this may seem like a menial task, but it was enchiladas from scratch- meaning fresh cooked beans, homemade sauce, rice from scratch. it ended up taking all day. seriously, it was so intense but oh so good. saturday, we took a super long with weebay, over to logan circle and then to the dog park. he had such a fun time. this dog thinks he is an 80 pound dog. he will chase and run with the big dogs and when they knock his little butt down, he gets up and goes after them again. it is so hilarious and it gave everyone at the dog park a good laugh to see this little squirt running with the big guys. lp and i went to dinner for the first time alone in ages. we hit up the new tortilla coast in logan circle, where i had the most amazing prickly pear margarita. it was so great! we decided since it was a special evening, dessert was in order, so pitango it was!! i got my go-to, strawberry and chocolate. i don't know what it is about those two flavors, but it's like crack for me. if i see them in a gelato/ice cream/yogurt shop, i have to get them. together. and eat them in about 2.5 seconds. it's almost gross- but it tastes so good. we came home and hung out, ending up in bed super early. sunday was great. we took a super long walk to meridian hill park and then over to mt pleasant. weebay was panting and had worked so hard to stay out that he came back and took a nap while i worked and lp did taxes. it was so nice outside that we decided to take him out again to hit up the record store. we scored some good finds and weebay made about 120 friends along the way. on the way home one of our neighbors was having people over, so we stopped by to hang out. weebay had so much fun- he met a great big dog (his favorite kind) who he followed all over, got in a dog pile and ran his little heart out. some friends of ours came over and we had a few drinks before lp and i had a snack dinner (my favorite!!!). here are some pics from the week/weekend:

weebay has been on medication for his snotty nose. to get him to take the meds, we have to hide it in pb. i've been trying to get a pic of him eating this stuff because it's the funniest thing you've ever seen. he goes after it like it's a drug-big eyes, snorting, jumping up to get it. it's hilarious. here he is eating it
