so, long overdue: mom and kenny came to visit. they got here on friday afternoon and i took off part of the day to go on the dome tour that my sweet sweet friend shea hooked us up with. i didn't even know that you could go up in the tippy top of the capitol, but apparently, you can. and it is awesome!!!
here's where we're headed

the back stairs that lead up to the dome!

the next day we went on a tour of the capitol, which i did not take any pictures of- because i'm awesome like that. but on sunday, we hit up mount vernon. i am terrible at planning and did not get tickets ahead of time so we didn't go in the house, but just tooled around the grounds.
